Farmhouse Inspiration ~ Red

Hello and welcome to this weeks Farmhouse Inspiration! First of all let me say a big thank you to all of you that took the time to comment on my last post and let me know how much you enjoy my blog! I hope that no one thought I was considering leaving blogland cause I'm not going anywhere...I absolutely love having a place to share our work and inspiring others to bring simple farmhouse style into their homes is my passion. I mean my ideas are endless...it is the hours that I don't have enough of!

So speaking of inspiring...in honor of Valentine's Day I chose RED as this weeks inspiration!! A touch of red here and there mixed with lots of creamy whites...ahhh perfection right? I like to bring little touches of red into our farmhouse with things that are naturally red like berries and fruits and then of course with some my favorite things antique linens and soft worn quilts.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks Farmhouse Inspiration and Happy Valentine's Day!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  1. Love your pretty home. Red is my favorite color with blue a close second. Love either with white/cream. And then I like black/tan/cream. Really a different vibe. Keep things interesting.

  4. That embroidered napkin made me think of this idea I'm doing for my daughter. My MIL passed when my daughter was less then 2 years old. She was an avid baker as is her sister who is still around. When my daughter was about 12, my MIL's sister got my daughter and her cousin together to teach them the proper way to make pie crust. My daughter continues to make a flawless one and she's 26. I'm making her a pastry cloth and am going up in the attic to find a card my MIL sent to her when she was a baby. I'll make a copy and transfer her handwriting onto the pastry cloth and I will embroider that. Hope it comes out as good as I'm imagining it. ;)

  8. Beautiful post today Megan! Red is my favorite and no matter how neutral my home, a little red always seems to sneak in. Love how you’ve accented with it for Valentine’s Day. It looks so natural and is just enough. ❤️
