Happy New Year!!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas, we sure did...I can't believe that it has come and gone already!! I just wanted to share a few pictures with you that I took on Christmas Eve.

I bought this cute little trunk at the flea market last summer for $15 and gave it a couple coats of white paint and some handles. It is perfect for this little space right next to our front door.

I like to keep my gift wrapping simple and old fashioned with things like cotton draw string bags, twine, cloth tags and some fresh greens.  I recently found some antique jars that I have been looking for for what seems like forever at a local antique store. I also found the antique spools there and added some ribbons to them.

Thanks for being such wonderful followers and I wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Can't wait to share what we will be working on in the new year!!!

Our Farmhouse This Christmas ~ 2016

Here is our farmhouse all decorated for Christmas...come on in!!!

I have greens tucked just about everywhere I can get them.

This time of year I basically always have a batch of cookies in the oven...the kids love helping me and I love teaching them how to bake.

Our dining room is finally finished and I was soooo excited to be able to decorate it!  I just love being able to look out all of our new windows in here and see the snow falling and the deer walking through our orchard eating the apples. Living in the snow belt has its disadvantages but when it comes to this time of year it is wonderful for getting you in that Christmas spirit!

I will do a true tour of this room after Christmas but I am so happy with the way the floors came out and I just love the new front door that Neal built us.

I covered the table with a long white table cloth and then covered that with an antique French sheet.

I used Ikea $1 clearance plates, Target "placemats" and antique silverware for a simple place setting.

I made the kids a goodie bag advent calendar and there are only three bags left to open...you know what that means...Christmas Day is almost here!!!  The kids are super excited and Neal and I are excited to have a couple of days that are work free and relaxing with our family.

I hope all of you have an absolutely wonderful holiday season with those you love! I am sooooo thankful to have you guys and love being able to share our home with you, your sweet comments that you leave year round mean the world to me!
