Farmhouse Inspiration ~ Spring

Although it may not look or feel spring here (we are actually getting hit with a lot of snow as we speak), warmer weather is just around the corner so I thought I would give you guys a little spring inspiration!!! This time of year the house always feels like it is in need of some flowers, amazing what a little bit of green can do for a room.

And speaking of spring...my next antique show The Springfield, Ohio Antique Extravaganza will be here before I know it and I've begun brainstorming booth ideas and deciding what I am taking. Our garage and attic are just filled to the brim with furniture so I've got to decide what needs to get packed up! I am thinking I will be taking my dry sink (seen below) to sell among many other pieces of my personal furniture. With all of the rearranging and moving of rooms some pieces just don't have a place anymore. Speaking of moving rooms, I've been working on our master bedroom blog post...its not a reveal or anything because the room isn't completely done yet but we are sooo close!

Happy Spring

Happy first day of spring! It is still very cold and snowy here but those warmer temperatures are just around the corner and I can't wait to start working outside again. In the meantime I have been trying to add some spring to the inside of the house with a light fresh feel.

This time of year with all of the holidays, birthdays and family get togethers means lots of baking for me.

I love this old masher with it's original white paint that my mom recently gave me.

 Here is a little peek at a dry sink I recently found at the Goodwill for $30 and gave a much needed makeover. I will do a post all about it soon, but in the meantime I couldn't help photographing it!

I am especially excited to put some potted plants on the front porch this being the first year that it is worthy of some. I just bought some big galvanized metal tubs that I think will be perfect for all of  my ivy that is longing to be planted.
